rockit.ET versus Highbot
The last groupmatch started with a bit more than a 2 hour delay but it was worth waiting. Rockit started attacking on Braundorf and with the first rush they captured the flag and sneaked through the maindoor with Winghaven as CovOps. Highbot was aware of the fast push and waited inside for their opponents and with a good crossfire and a few backrape actions they kept control over their area, atleast for once. In the meanwhile dynas went down on both side and main and just after 2.36 minutes the commandpost was build for the allied side. Meez, Winghaven, Clown and Xylos respawned together at the side and rushed through the weak defence. After a short waiting periode for his charge to increase Xylos planted a dyna and a second one from Clown went down as well. Highbot was not able to defuse the dynamite and thus the clock stopped and a time with 4.26 minutes was set.

Sides got switched and Meez tried a special nade from left side flagspawn to the sideway. But he missed the targets since all of the Highbot players attacked via mainstreet and upper way. Surprise, surprise, criatura and co were able to capture the flag just in the same time as rockit before. Xylos and mAus prepared their defence on the mainroad with some mines and medic packs and with a few headshots, minekills and rifle shots they were able to hold them back once more. But a 4 player selfkill on the rockit side gave Highbot the opportunity to rush further then they should. Suddenly the controls were filled with allies and the last player remaining there have done some damage but no gibs and before he died a dynamite went down.

1:40 left on the clock and 4 allied players waiting for the axis side to defuse. Rockit tried with a short side rush to bring their engis in position to defuse and for the first it seemed to work out. The engi was defusing and just a second before completed a sneaky nade from hummel killed the last hope for rockit.

Have rockit underestimated the situation again? Now a second and third map was needed to secure a first place in their group. It was sw_goldrush_te and Rockit started to defend the tank area. Meez humiliated the first attack from back with a 3 men kill and with the seconds passing by the defence and the teamplay got better and better.

11.48 left on the clock and a first strong attack for the tank but our M&M duo (Meez and mAus) were able to destroy the opposite dreams about taking the tank. And short after it was Xylos who destroyed the enemies with his crucial rifle shots. Time passed by and the attacking team found no way to get the tank repaired. Fullhold! It seemed that rockit just was in need of a first warning on Braundorf to play as usual. The sides got switched and within the first two minutes the tank was on its way down to the bank. Highbot was able to build the first barrier but just a few seconds after they have build it the allied dyna was there to destroy it. The bank got opened and due to some heavy spawnkills Highbot was not able to establish a proper bank defence. Winghaven switched to PF and killed two players, the gold got secured and the truck was on its way to the finish. After 5.36 the show was over. 2:2 and rockit was back in business.

A cointoss and mapelimination was needed and as expected rockit eliminated Frostbite first. Highbot had the choice between Supply and Radar and some seconds later all players prepared their positions on radar. Rockit attacked first and with 3 players pushing for side and a fast Meez for main the defence was already destroyed. Xylos planted side and preformed a jump on top of the command post. In the meanwhile Winghaven took an opposite uniform and opened the cp door for Xylos. Unfortunately Scatman was waiting there and able to kill the first cp push. But with a second try the rockit side secured the commandpost and the west radar parts. Highbot was lost on the map and a heavy crossfire coming from everywhere destroyed their last defending line. And just after 3:11 minutes the map was finished.

Highbot had to show if they really have the ability to beat a top notch team but the rockit side was in a good mood and with 1:45 left on the clock the first GG`s went down the mainchat. After a weak defence on Braundorf rockit secured a 4:2 victory.

rockit.ET versus energy-Wave
Up first it will be supply to defend as axis in team rockit's first match at the CIC7. energy-Wave, a team filled with talented Germans and international players from the Netherlands and pauze who's attending the LAN from the USA. There have been many rumours about many teams on previous events already therefor this is nothing special: Gross and stray have both performed great online in the past year and now they are going to get their titled as a lan proofed ET player - And let me tell you, they deserved 'em from what I saw!

Just seconds before the start, meez already announced the time for the first play off match tomorrow but the road to this one will be a tight one when every opponent in this group puts as much effort in the match as engergy-Wave did. Anyway, enough cheering for them, mAus is worth the attention as well once again!
From the seeing tournament, rockit seems to have practised quite much to get a proper defense up here making the allied team attacking for more than 3 minutes. With self kills always followed by artillery the defense was a top notch one tactic wise but without any rifle - The weapon most people call the most overpowered one in 5on5. Anyway, the defense went great of rockit and you could think energy is just no opponent but right in that moment you can notice them grabbing the flag with 6.10 left on the clock when they pick out two rockit players on a full spawn it's t1mm43 and gross to grab the flag.

This was the moment when energy was not just another random LAN opponent that you can easily full hold on the flag, and exactly this show went on with gross attacking west and killing clown, meez and winghaven twice to support his team getting the plant down at main with this action. And it sill isn't enough time left for energy to get the map done in time as there are 4.20 left on the clock when the dynamite blew the gate up.

With the final minute coming close and only 1.40 left on the clock stray went up the stairs to get the controls done and activated - for a second it looked like they can set a time on the stop watch but their final attack got lost in the rockit defense.

Rockit definitely improved in the first stage but went totally off the track when they got surprised from west and failed to get back in shape here. With no time set the improvement can still be done in the upcoming rounds of this match without a doubt.

It's round 2 starting and rockit does it exactly as we know them from previous events. With grabbing the flag within the first two minutes the stage went properly and right in time - 13.40 on the clock and another two minutes to go before the CP was done - 11.46 - and the main gate blew up - 11.00.

It was clown to run up the stairs to build the controls but he couldn't get them active as he got killed by a nade when the truck was close but not in it's position. The medics were on the target to get the job done with the controls activated with 9.10 left on the clock. energy couldn't put up a defense again and lost the first map with a stunning offense from rockit.

The second map from the pool is frostbite. The glory and old school RtCW map is ready for the 5on5 competition and let me tell you - these teams will prove it!

Rockit to attack first performed great on that map against blight gaming in the seeding tournament and they can be confident to win this one. With the countdown up and the match starting it was clear that meez was trying to rush right through the main entrance, but as clear this was as expected it was for energy to counter the fast rush from rockit side. Eventhough the dynamite went down they couldn't get through and energy was able to keep the cp in their hands for the next 2 minutes. energy built a defense up that was hard to get through until they started self killing randomly to their spawn. This what rockit needed to push through.

8.10 left on the clock when meez picked up the objective for the first time while the side dors were not blown he had to jump for the main hall where he met his mates but there was energy as well getting him down and securing the docs. It took rockit another minute to grab the docs again and bring them through the side way, once again with meez. Pauze almost surprised meez and almost secured the documents but with the help coming from maus and clown they could keep them and delivered the documents with setting a time of about 4 minutes.

Frostbite has always been a fast map and energy will prove that. You couldn't blink with your eye for once to not miss their rush to the cp and their success in getting it right at the start. 3.30 left on the clock and the dynamite was down at the side door and the cp was built - energy puts on high presure on rockit!

As for rockit it took them 2 minutes to grab the documents for the first time with 1.35 left on the clock after stray took down two rockit players for a full spawn. The documents went side but they could be secured.

Only 35 seconds left when stray picked them up once again but this time there was noone to return them with meez taking the lower way which wasn't blown yet and others were not close enough. energy surprised the ettv viewers when they delivered the documents with only a few seconds left on the clock!

Decider is Goldrush and Rockit is first to attack - Which might be a bad omen looking at what happened when they set a time moments ago on frostbite. Again the defense of the first stage was setup very well by energy who could keep the tank clean for the upcoming 3 minutes. Even though rockit put much pressure on them it seemed like their motivation was bigger than anything else in Enschede at this time.

12.15 left on the clock and it is winghaven to prepare the main gate rush together with clown. Both engineers successfully built and moved the tank to continue on their way to the gold. This was the moment when the chat started and most likely the point when the motivation turned around in favour of rockit. With the tank barrier and CP not built it was an easy thing for rockit to get the tank into position and to fire up the entrance to the bank.

It's the last stage on the map and energy struggled heavily. Even though their defence was not bad there is kinda nothing you can do against a meez on speed! With grabbing the gold and jumping right through friends and opponents faster than any squirrel ever has been he brought the gold home. And with the truck barrier not built it was time to call the GG and the moment when everyone knew rockit won't loose this map - and that's exactly what they did.

4-2, rockit.ET to win their first match!

21.45 CET: logiX vs. Phantoms Phantoms started on allied side on Supply Depot. After a few rushes they were able to capture the flag but then their attacks got easily pushed back by logiX and especially some good placed mines and rifle shots. Nevertheless with around 6 minutes left on the clock Phantoms took control over the command post area and the main depot by planting the sides and main. A bit later they managed to build the controls and to escape with the truck. A time was set and logiX started with a strong attack the second stopwatchround. They really showed a good performance and with 3 minutes left on the clock they had the truck moving towards the command post. So a first mapwin for logiX on Supply. Second map was Frost and although logiX were able to build the command post within the first minutes the opposite side refreshed their forces and established a nice defence on the document stage. It seemed like Phantoms can do a fullhold but then logiX finished it with a time of 9.28. Now the second round is about to start. And well Phantoms are playing stronger than before. They just needed 3 minutes to secure the docs. The decider map was sw_goldrush and the team around Jere started attacking. The tankdefence from logiX was strong but after a nice attack from the back Phantoms got the tank and moved it straight down and opened the bank and secured the gold - but the time was not that good, nearly 10 minutes. The sides got swapped and unfortunately the ETTv got disconnected. If we got new information we will keep you up to date! Due to the Ettv disconnect I just can say that Phantoms managed to win the decider!

Frostbite was 2nd map and we were able to set a quite good time but sometimes our players are underrating their opponents. And the german side over at e-Wave managed to grab the docs and secure them just 9 seconds before the deadline. Maybe they just want to pracc one more map or according to other ETTv viewers they play for the entertainment. Nevertheless I hope they can focus for a final victory.

290 people are currently speccing our first performance on Supply and with preventing e-Wave from taking home the gold we can say the event is kicking off better than expected! In the meanwhile Phantoms have won their match agains logiX with 4:2

15:00 CET: JB vs. Perception
On the first map braundorf JB is defending first. Perception tries different ways to get the flag, but the defense of JB is standing well. After a long time Perception managed to get the flag and planting Main Gate and the Side Entrance.
Still the Command Post is not constructed, Perception tried to push towards the maingate with three people.
But this try doesn`t work. JB standing well at the second defense. After building CP, Perception tries to push towards the side entrance. All tries to get a plant failed, cause of good teamplay and nice crossfire by JB.
No real chance to manage it. So JB makes a fullhold.

On attacking JB pushed towards flag, getting it after a short time. Snoop and lighting were sneaking to the Cp and kill Perceptions Engeneer. building CP and pushing towards bunker controls, so that Perceptions defense got under pressure. Zerender managed to plant dynamite, but 6 seconds before exploding it's got defused.

2:0 JB after the first map.

Second Map: sw_goldrush_te
JB on offense. Perception defending. The first push towards tank failed. But after just 1.57 min the tank was stolen. Perception with a long spawntime, so that JB could manage to get to the bridge and build the CP. After 3.47 tank in position and opening the bank. Just one rush towards the field and butchji takes the gold. Running the long way just towards the truck. Bad defense in this moment. The second barrier was exploding just in time, so that the truck could drive through. SNoOp with a nice three man Panzershoot at the spawn, so that there was no problem to secure the truck. Time set to: 5:37 min.
So now it was on Perception to push to tank and move as fast as possible towards the bank. But all over the five and a half minute no Allied Engineer saw the tank. JB pushed towards spawn. SNoOp backraping, Lighting just spamming nades and Rifles, and the other three Jungle Brothers aiming on the spawn. So there was no chance for Perception to repair and steal the tank.
4:0 for the Jungle Brothers
After this performance we´ll see if JB manage to win against rockit or YYY. Aiming is good, but did they practise enough teamplay?
